From the early days of the church, Christians have been tasked with being ministers, teachers, leaders, peace makers, examples, mentors, and problem solvers. Whether you are hired full time by a local church, work as a vocational minister, or serve the Lord with a dedicated, purposeful life the work of an active, faithful Christian can be exhausting. We need the strength that only God can provide. We know we are strengthened in the word, prayer, and by our local church family. We can also be strengthened through the relationship’s ministers have with one another. It is my hope that you can be encouraged through this community of servants of the Lord and as Paul directed Timothy, you will find insight, renewal, and the spiritual nutrition to “fulfill your ministry.” Welcome to the trough. Let’s together see what we can do to lighten your load, remove the muzzle, and feast on the grain so you can continue to be effective for the Lord. “You shall not muzzle the ox when it is treading out the grain.” -1Timothy 5:18
