Welcome

From the early days of the church, Christians have been tasked with being ministers, teachers, leaders, peace makers, examples, mentors, and problem solvers.  Whether you are hired full time by a local church, work as a vocational minister, or serve the Lord with a dedicated, purposeful life the work of an active, faithful Christian can be exhausting.  Although Paul was specifically referencing the financial support of those who preach and teach the word when using the illustration of the ox, the principle of not letting anything hinder the work of the Lord is evident in the scripture. We need the strength that only God can provide.  We know we are strengthened in the word, prayer, by our local church family, and the greater Christian community.  It is my hope that you will be encouraged through this resource and as Paul directed Timothy, you will find insight, renewal, and the spiritual nutrition to “fulfill your ministry.”  Welcome to the trough.  Let’s together see what we can do to lighten your load, remove the muzzle, and feast on the grain so you can continue to be effective for the Lord.

-“You shall not muzzle the ox when it is treading out the grain.” 1 Timothy 5:18
